J. R. Eubanks

J. R. Eubanks, 64, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 in Flower Mound, Texas. Funeral services are at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise, Texas. Burial will follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Rick Cooper will officiate. Pallbearers are Terry Carlton, Bill Johnson, Greg Jones, Pablo Rivas, Pat Schmidt, Doug Bridwell and Don Younger. Honorary pallbearers are David Moore, Mitch Fedric, Frans Cox, Bobby Brazier, Mike Richardson, and David Garrison. Visitation is from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, November 12, 2012 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. J. R. was born January 20, 1948, in Calexico, California to Merle (Lee) and Marvin Eubanks. He was a self-employed safety specialist who had retired from Devon Energy. J. R. was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and Texas Christian University. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and sports. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. J. R. is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Saundra; son Chad Eubanks and wife Shea of Bridgeport; daughter Tracy Eubanks of Plano, Texas; his mother Merle of Bridgeport; brothers Don Eubanks of Chico, Texas and John Hedges of Glendale, Arizona; sisters LaDonna Huggins of San Marcos, Texas and Trenna Moseley of Bridgeport; and grandchildren Zach, Ava, and Preston Eubanks, all of Bridgeport. He is preceded in death by his father and his granddaughter Hannah Eubanks.
