Helen Hamilton

Helen LaVerne Hamilton, 64, of Bridgeport passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 in Bridgeport. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 pm at Jones Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, April 23 at 2:00 pm, also at Jones, officiated by Bro. Gary Demmitt of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bridgeport. Burial will follow at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Helen was born June 27, 1947 in Decatur, Texas to Hubert and Dora (Wilkinson) Orr. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Homer Hamilton; sons Glen Hamilton and wife Laura of Juneau, Alaska, Bryan Hamilton and wife Serrena of Bridgeport, and Billy Hamilton, also of Bridgeport; grandchildren Jessie, Elise, Justin, Ashlee, and Brady; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Kenneth Orr and James Orr.
