Harry Daves

Funeral services for Harry Daves, 77, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be 10 am Friday, March 24, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas, with burial to follow at Eastside Cemetery. Pastor Joey Vick will officiate. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home. He peacefully went to his eternal resting place March 16, 2023, at home with his loving family, in Jacksboro, Texas.

Pallbearers include Joey Breger, Dusty Wilson, Cody Deaton, Brandon Deaton, Kylan Deaton, and Ty Deaton. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Simpson and Warren Blount.

Harry was born January 4, 1946, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, to Herold Jackson and Eva Jo (Williams) Daves. He married the love of his life, Sharon Daves, in 1980, in Wise County, Texas; they were happily married for 43 years. Harry loved the outdoors. When he retired as a truck driver, he devoted most of his time hunting, fishing, and camping. The only thing he enjoyed more than spending time outdoors, was spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are daughter Kathie Wilson of Jacksboro, Texas; grandchildren Kandi (Joey) Breger of Jacksboro, Texas, Dusty (Wendy) Wilson of Perrin, Texas, Madison McDaniel of Sunset, Texas, and J.W. McDaniel of Bridgeport, Texas; great-grandchildren Makenzleigh, Tatum, Brooklyn, and Casey Breger of Jacksboro, Texas, Esme, Leon, and Loretta Wilson of Perrin, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents; wife Sharon Daves; brother Gary Daves; daughter Joann Jodie Daves; and stepson Jimmy McDaniel.
