Glenn W. Maddux

Services for Glenn W. Maddux, 74, of Paradise, Texas were held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Reverend Phillip Weitner. Burial followed at Jim Ned Cemetery in Runaway Bay, Texas. Pallbearers were C.W. Deering, Gary Deering, Brandon Gregory, J.W. Byers, R.J. Walton, and Kenneth Smith. Visitation was Thursday, February 8 from 6-8 pm, also at Jones. Glenn passed away Tuesday, February 6 in Decatur, just ten days before his 75th birthday.

He was born February 16, 1943 in Jacksboro, Texas to Woodroe and Bertie (Stockman) Maddux. After serving in the US Army, he spent his career as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing.

Glen leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Linda (Fenley) Maddux; son Kenneth Smith; daughters Tina Gregory and Tammy Smith; grandchildren Chris Smith, Oscar Cannady, Cyndy Landers, Jessica Nugent, Cooper Gregory, Nikki Gregory, Braxton Gregory, Stephanie Rea, and Jarrett Campbell; great-grandchildren Vanessa Smith, Lynzee Smith, Ryker Johnson, Caiden Shaw, Chris Neal Smith, Cody Landers, and Logan Alexander; and numerous other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Woodroe and Bertie Maddux; children Glenn W. Maddux, Jr., and Debera Ray, and baby Maddux: sisters Mary Deering, Marie Puckett, Linda Byers, and other relatives Darrell Puckett, Danny Puckett, Perry Deering, Jennifer Long, Denise Byers, David Puckett, Corissa Smith, Jason and Beth Bruce, and Robert Deering.
