Earl Huffstetler

Earl Huffstetler, 86, of Runaway Bay, Texas passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 in Decatur, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Todd Blair will officiate. Pallbearers are Bill McPherson, Tommy Barrett, Jacob Cheshier, Kameron Cheshier, Matthew Edwards, and Bob Strole. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM in the Chapel immediately before the funeral service. Earl was born June 29, 1929 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to Mamie (Moore) and Otis E. Huffstetler. He was a retired meat shop owner, meat cutter, and meat industry salesman. Earl enjoyed playing golf, fishing, traveling (especially to the beach), watching sports, sitting by a warm fireplace, and spending time with his beloved pets Clydie and Oscar. He is survived by his daughters Connie McPherson, Sandy Kendrick, Sharon Hess, Stacy Zonker, and Teddi Zonker; son Jeffrey Zonker; brother Herbert Huffstetler; sister Shirley Cable; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lola Maulding-Huffstetler; son Michael Huffstetler; wife Margaret Huffstetler; brother Richard Huffstetler; and sister Dorothy Johnson.
