Dorothy Wilkerson

Dorothy Mae Wilkerson, 86, of Decatur, Texas, previously of Bellevue, Texas passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Decatur. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, August 31, 2015 at Bellevue Cemetery in Bellevue. Reverend Phillip A. Weitner will officiate. Dorothy was born March 30, 1929 in Mineola, Texas to Grace (Whitfield) and James Floyd West. She owned and ran a restaurant for over twenty years. She enjoyed being a homemaker, farming, and especially loved to go fishing. She is survived by her sons Neal Wesley Wilkerson of Memphis, Tennessee and Edwin Ray Wilkerson and wife Sharron of Bowie, Texas; daughter Patricia Ann Trail and husband Frank of Runaway Bay, Texas; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Wilkerson; her parents; her brothers James and Floyd (Bud) West; and her sister Juanita Belcher.
