Donald Taylor

Donald Wade Taylor, 70, of Sunset passed away on March 8 in Dallas, Texas.

No services are planned at this time.

Donald was born on May 17, 1947 in Wellington, Texas to Irvin and Lucille (Faulkner) Taylor.  He Married Helen Poland on November 18, 1995 in Crafton, Texas.  Donald graduated high school in Hobbs, New Mexico; Afterwards he joined the US ARMY and served in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany.  He worked as a consultant in the oilfield. His hobbies included gardening, raising farm animals spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his sons Charles Taylor, Jody Hood and wife Lisa, Sidney Hood and wife Brandi, Charles Hood and wife Brenda, Jason Hood and wife Claire; daughters Lisa Hood and husband Bart and Louann Hood; sisters Sharon and husband Cliff, and Becky; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, stepdad Dayton Lane, brother Billy, son Michael Hood,and great granddaughters Heather, Victoria, and Addison.

Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Home-Bridgeport.
