Memorial services for Donald “Butch” Creamer, 83, of Alvord, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Pastor Steve Ledford will officiate.
Donald (Butch) Creamer passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born the youngest of two boys and grew up to become a beloved figure in his community. After attending Decatur Junior College, Butch embarked on a successful career as a machinist, dedicating years of hard work and skill to companies like Manasco, Otis, and Bell Helicopter. Upon retiring, he found fulfillment in his passion for music and service to others. A devoted worship leader, Butch shared his love for Gospel music with others, touching hearts and souls with his talent and dedication. He selflessly volunteered his time delivering meals on wheels and leading music worship at the Decatur nursing home, bringing joy and comfort to those in need. Butch was known for his generosity and kindness, spending countless hours mowing lawns for various churches as a gift to his community. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, especially the camaraderie and warmth he found during his daily visits to local restaurants, where he treated the staff like family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, compassion, and service will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
Those left to cherish Buch’s memory are his son Robert Creamer of Alvord; daughter Chanda Green of Alvord; grandchildren Chadney Morrick, Cody Pound and wife Gracie, and Levi Creamer; great-grandchildren Victoria Morrick and Bryndle Edwards; and a host of family and friends.
Buch is preceded in death by his parents Lois and Gladys (Wilson) Creamer; wife of 58 years, Carolyn Creamer; and brother Thomas Creamer.
The family would like to thank Angels Care Home Health and his dedicated sitter Raquel Saez. Their support was invaluable and greatly appreciated by Butch and his loved ones.
