Donald Ashley

Donald Ray Ashley, 63, of Chico, Texas passed away Friday, September 7, 2012, in Dallas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in Cumby Cemetery in Chico. Visitation was from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, September 10, 2012, at Jones Family Funeral Home, Bridgeport. Donnie was born September 3, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Melba Lucille (Jones) and Donald Leon Ashley. He was a retired teacher and coach at Chico ISD who received his Bachelor's degree in education from Midwestern University. He spent six years in the National Guard. Donnie is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Kaylean; daughters Ricki Ward and husband Tony of Rowlett, Texas and Kyla Collis and husband Chris of Frisco, Texas; mother Melba Ashley of Wichita Falls; brother Gary Ashley of Alameda, California; sister Phyllis Litteken and husband Frank of Wichita Falls; and grandchildren Bailey and Jake Ward.
