Carolyn Ann Brogan, 72, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise, Texas. Burial will be at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Pastor Rocky Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers are Loydd Williams, Bob Hamman, Curt Moore, Gary Emmert, J. C. Williams, Keven Huntsinger, J.W. Adams, and Dustin Self. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Smith, Fred Casteel, and Rick Smith. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at Jones Family Funeral Home. Carolyn was born January 31, 1943 in Jacksboro, Texas to Myrtle Christine (Rogers) and John Otis Armstrong. She was the retired owner and operator of Brogan Dozer Service, a homemaker, and the wonderful mother of five children. She married James Alpfonchus Brogan on March 17, 1961, and they were married for twenty-two years when he passed away. Carolyn enjoyed cooking and traveling north of the Red River with friends Bill Smith and Claudia Lawson. She faithfully attended services at Grace Fellowship Church. She is survived by sons John Brogan and wife Stacy and James Brogan, Jr. and wife Richelle; daughters Bridget Williams and husband Loydd, Sarah Hamman and husband Bob, and Sheila Moore and husband Curt; sisters Paula Sharp and husband Bobby and Johnna Sue Adams; and grandchildren J. C. Williams, Keely and Kaily Hamman, Hope Dennie, Brody and Brenley Brogan, and Gage, Stormy and Tripp Brogan. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and grandparents Lawson and Ada Rogers and Matt and Martha Armstrong.
