Carl Ray Pearson, 61, of Sunset, Texas passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be Friday, October 23 at U-Turn World Ministries in Chico at 2:00 pm, officiated by Duane Tracy and Jerald Austin. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery #3 in Chico, officiated by Kevin Alexander. Visitation will be Thursday, October 22 from 6-8 pm at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Carl was born January 27, 1954 in Kerrville, Texas to Irvin Carl and Alva Joyce (Austin) Pearson. He was a stonemason, and later became the computer fix-it man in and around Chico. He was a familiar face at U-Turn World Ministries in Chico, where he was a member, and ministered to all who needed him. Carl also enjoyed studying Bible prophecy, and gardening. But, as busy as he was, his passion in life was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah Sue (Jessup) Pearson of Sunset; son Jason Scott Pearson and wife Sarah of Sunset; daughters Amy Michelle Pearson, and Rebecka Ann Pearson and husband Chris Barnett, all of Sunset; mother Joyce Pearson of Tow; brother Jim Pearson and wife Diana of Kerrville; sister Penny Pearson Britza and husband Ian of Perth, Australia; sisters-in-law Linda Pearson of Ingram, and Cindy Pearson of Dripping Springs; grandchildren Kyndal Pearson, Jeremiah Pearson, Jordan Pearson, Nathan Barnett and Gracie Barnett.
Carl was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Elizebeth Pearson of Kerrville, and Eddie and Jeanett Austin of Dallas, Texas; father Irvin Carl Pearson of Tow, Texas; brothers David Pearson of Ingram, Texas and Brian Pearson of Dripping Springs, Texas, father-in-law Bill Jessup; mother-in-law Patsy Argo; and sister-in-law Marsha Argo.
