Graveside services for Brenda (Tate) Shanklin, 79, of Roanoke, Texas, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2024, at Vashti Cemetery in Vashti, Texas. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, November 10, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Brenda (Tate) Shanklin was born May 12, 1945, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Leon and Ruth (Chadwick) Tate, and peacefully passed away on November 4, 2024, in Roanoke, Texas. Brenda had a great love for her family, and cherished moments shared with them, where she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her enthusiasm for the outdoors and animals brought her much happiness. Whether exploring the beauty of nature or caring for animals, Brenda appreciated the world around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her, as they reflect on the wonderful moments shared in her company.
Brenda is preceded in death by her husband Dean; daughter Michelle Pinson; and grandson Landon Shelton.
Those left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her son, Curtis Pinson and wife Shedara; daughter, Stephanie Whitlatch and husband Bill Whitlatch; grandchildren, Journie Pinson and husband Nick, Quinton Pinson, and Nathan Pinson; three great-grandchildren; numerous Tate family members; and a host of friends and extended family.
