Blake Long

Graveside services for Blake Overton Long, 63, of Chico, Texas will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Chico Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Robert Cox. Visitation will be Saturday, April 17 from 6-8 pm at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Blake passed away Wednesday, April 14 in Decatur.

Blake was born January 21, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to Frank and Billie (Caraway) Long.

He was a talented musician who loved to play the guitar. He also enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He was quite the handyman and was able to fix almost anything.

Blake had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Elizabeth (Deering) Long of Chico; children Blake Long II of Grand Junction, Colorado, Jeremiah Long of Chico, Patricia Stradley and husband Bryan of Cashion, Oklahoma, Andrew Long and wife Adriana of Grand Junction, Eric Long of Chico, Sarah McKamie and husband Patrick of Chico; grandchildren Melody, Elexis, Jordan, Jared, Aidan, Seth, Trinity, and little Andrew, brother Marty Long, and numerous other family.

He was preceded in death by daughter Jennifer Long.
