A private family memorial for Betty Jane Driggs, 87, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at a later date.
Betty Jane Driggs, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024, in Bridgeport, Texas. She was born September 22, 1936, in Bomont, West Virginia, to Samual and Lucille (Welch) Hall. Betty would later marry Don Edward Driggs on January 30, 1959, in West Virginia, and was happily married for 58 years, until Don’s passing in 2017.
A well-respected teachers’ aide at Clear Creek ISD in League City, Texas, before her retirement, Betty touched the lives of countless students during her career. Her commitment to helping others learn and grow left a lasting impact on the school and the community.
Outside of her professional career, Betty found joy and solace in her faith as a member of Bear Creek Methodist Church in Houston, and the simple pleasures found in life like caring for her plants, getting lost in the pages of a good book and, above all, being a devoted mother and wife. Her love knew no bounds and radiated throughout every aspect of her life.
Those left to cherish Betty’s memory are her daughter Janie Krogman and husband Stephen Johnson; grandchildren Kai Edward and Carson Haley Krogman; and great-grandchild Benjamin Edward Krogman.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Samual and Lucille Hall; husband Donald Edward Driggs; eight brothers; and one sister.
