Bernice Cash

Bernice Cash, 87, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in Azle, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 8, 2013 in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery. Brother Glenn Connell will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Bernice was born October 2, 1925 in Balsora, Texas to Muriel (Castleberry) and Dewey Womack. After high school, she attended beauty school and worked as a beautician for many years. She married Freeman Cash on April 10, 1965, and together they enjoyed attending Bluegrass festivals, sharing Bernice's good cooking with family and friends, and working on the farm. Freeman passed away on November 23, 1998. Bernice is survived by her sister-in-law Jessie Womack and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband and brothers Weldon and Oscar Womack. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boonsville/Balsora Fire Department and the Paradise Cemetery Association.
