Audrey Russell

A memorial service for Audrey Margaret Russell, 85, of Bridgeport, Texas will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2020 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Mark Stevens. Audrey passed away Tuesday, August 25 in Decatur, Texas.

She was born March 4, 1935 in Decatur to Albert and Bertie (Anderson) Tackel.

She and O.H. Russell met, fell head over heels in love and married just six weeks later on September 11, 1957 in Waco. The couple were married for 34 years, until his death in 1992.

Audrey is survived by daughter LeAnna Russell and Eddie Best of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren Morgan Stringer and fiancée Whitney Roden of Cleburne, Texas, and Mason Stringer and fiancé Kendall Moore of Grand Prairie, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband O.H. Russell, daughter Delia D. Stringer, and seven siblings.
