Aubrey "A.D." Dean Franks

Graveside services for Aubrey “A.D.” Dean Franks, 87, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Thomas Cemetery in Bridgeport. Chaplain John Eaton will officiate.

Aubrey “A.D.” Dean Franks was born on August 23, 1937, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Effie Otto, and peacefully passed away on November 7, 2024, in Decatur, Texas. A.D. lived a life filled with passion for the outdoors and was known for his love of hunting and fishing. He was also an accomplished trap shooter, competing at a professional level and earning several awards throughout his career. A.D. leaves behind cherished memories for those who knew him, and he will be missed by all.

A.D. is preceded in death by his wife Martha (Beachamp) Franks and son Joe Dean Franks.

Those left to cherish A.D.’s memory are his son, Aubrey Ray Franks; daughters, Lynn Franks Fair and Amy Franks Miller; grandchildren, Crystal Pryor, La Tosha Pryor, Kurstie Franks, Michael Joe Franks, Jason Franks, and Waylon Fair; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to their favorite charity.
