Atza Manuel

Atza Lottie Manuel, 73, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 8, 2013, in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial will follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Pastors Earnest Patterson and Jerry Pittman will officiate. Pallbearers are Gerald Geer, William Gaines, Barry Whitehead, Glenn Davis, Michael Lewis, and Alicia Griffin. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Atza was born January 15, 1940 in Bridgeport to Mary Allen (Pittman) and Wesley Orse Jenkins. She was an LVN who enjoyed needlepoint, working in her yard and gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Sunset Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her son Charles Anthony Manuel and wife Lisa of Bedford, Texas; Daughter Sheila Davis and husband Glenn of Runaway Bay, Texas; sister Lela Lewis of Bridgeport; and grandchildren Colton Lane McCormick of Paradise, Texas, Brandon Chase McCormick of Runaway Bay, and Justin Pope of Runaway Bay. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Wesley Manuel; her parents; and her brother Clifton Tipper Cotton.
