Cuando no estaba trabajando, disfrutaba estar afuera en el patio. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos y bisnietos. Pasó tiempo escuchando música y le encantaba bailar. Siempre estuvo feliz.

A Asunción le sobreviven su esposa, María R. Martínez; hijos, Blas Martínez, Agustín Martínez; hijas, Silvina Martinez, Nereida Martinez, Adriana Martinez; 13 nietos; 10 bisnietos y una gran cantidad de familiares y amigos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres.
