Funeral services for Ancelma Hernandez, 88, of Paradise, Texas will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Bridgeport, Texas, officiated by Deacon Mauricio Hernandez and Father Reehan Antony. Burial will follow in Boyd Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 3 from 6-8 pm at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Ancelma passed away Friday, July 30 in Decatur.
She was born April 24, 1933 in Ignacio Ramirez, Mexico to Sabino and Josefa (Ramirez) Hernandez. Ancelma was married to Santos Hernandez until his death in 2001.
Ancelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time in the kitchen preparing delicious meals for family and friends, followed by time at the dinner table sharing stories and catching up on the latest activities in each of their lives. Wherever Ancelma was, there was life and laughter.
She is survived by children Vicente Hernandez and wife Evangelina of Bridgeport, and Virginia Carrillo and husband Roberto of Paradise; sisters Cecilia Cordova and Esperanza Felix; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Ancelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight children, and one brother.
