Memorial services for Amy Nichole Traister, 36, of Lake Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Amy Nichole Traister was born on February 25, 1988, to Robert and Teresa (Thompson) Traister. She passed from this life to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on November 29, 2024, at the age of 36, after a three-year battle with cervical cancer.
Amy was very family orientated and was especially fond of family holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. She worked at the Dollar Tree in Bridgeport, until her illness caused her to be unable to continue. Amy loved helping her customers and was a friend to most everyone she met. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially being at the lake, swimming, riding the WaveRunner, and camping.
Earlier in her life, Amy found a love for modelling. She also enjoyed movies, her favorites being Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Titanic, and She’s All That, among many others. Amy was also an animal lover, having numerous pets over the years. She leaves behind her five “fur babies,” Delilah, Scarlett, Ellie, Hazel, and Kane, that will continue to be cared for by her father. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Amy is survived by her father, Robert Traister of Lake Bridgeport; mother, Teresa Price and husband Dan of New Fairview; brother, Jake Poteet of Decatur; sisters, Tabatha Hobbs and husband Steven of Decatur and Victoria Poteet of New Fairview; grandmother, Ruby Taylor of Lake Bridgeport; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
