Amador Fernandez

Funeral mass for Amador Fernandez of Decatur, Texas will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur, officiated by Father Reehan Antony and Deacon Mauricio Hernandez. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, February 26 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, with Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Amador, born on April 27, 1976 in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2021, at the age of 44. He was born to parents Sabino Fernandez Marez and Maria Del Carmen Avina Pinedo.

Mase, as we called him, was one of a kind. He was a loving man that put his family and friends first, always willing to help in any way he could.

Mase was a man that would conquer any task put in front of him. Unfortunately, he met his match and could not overcome this. He is now having tacos, drinking sangria soda, and eating mazapanes with his loved ones that welcomed him with open arms.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter Joceline Fernandez; son Amador Fernandez, Jr.; and siblings Sabino Fernandez, Sixto Fernandez, Eduardo Fernandez, Rosendo Fernandez, Francisco Fernandez, Maria Fernandez, and Carlos Fernandez.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Even though we lost a father, brother, uncle, and grandfather we received a guardian angel. The lessons he taught will never be forgotten, and the love he put into everything he did remains to be seen around us. There are too many great things to list about him and yet, no words to describe him fully. Amador is loved and will never be forgotten.
