Services for Alfonso Miramontes, 72, of Bridgeport, Texas will be 11:00 am Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Bridgeport, officiated by Father Reehan Antony. Burial will follow in the Mexican Cemetery in Bridgeport. Visitation will be Sunday, January 10 from 3-6 pm at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Alfonso passed away Tuesday, January 5 in Decatur.
He was born December 26, 1948 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ildefonso and Lucia (Silva) Miramontes.
Alfonso loved his children and grandchildren and always wanted to make sure they had everything they needed. His wife, Martha, said that you can see a little piece of their father in each of the children: in looks, mannerisms, actions, or their father’s heart.
He loved to cook out for the kids and dance with Martha to Creedence Clearwater songs.
He enjoyed going to the casino and went as often as he could get away.
He was always willing to help Martha with gardening: preparing the soil and gathering the vegetable crops.
Alfonso is survived by his wife of 46 years, Martha Miramontes of Bridgeport; children Pablo Miramontes and wife Jessica Payne, Alejandro Miramontes and wife Bridget, Juan Miramontes and wife Griselda, and Christina Miramontes; grandchildren Joslyn, Hali, Andres, Noreli, Vandon, Ito, Zane, Sophia, Daisy, Antonio, Zaylee, and Cielo; and great-grandchildren Kenzo and Rafael.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Martha Lucia Miramontes, granddaughter Leila, and siblings Marcos Miramontes, Martha Miramontes, and Elisa Miramontes.
