Adalynn Marie Jones, 6 weeks old, of Decatur, TX was placed back into the arms of Jesus on January 8, 2016 in Fort Worth, TX after battling courageously and gracefully numerous congenital heart defects and other medical conditions.
Family visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Chancellor & Jones Family Funeral Home. Funeral services are Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Alvord at 2 pm, officiated by William Cleveland & Michael Wilcox, with burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
Adalynn was born on November 24, 2015 to Gabriel & Caitlyn Jones in Grapevine, TX. She loved her morning snuggles and music time with Mommy, as they sang and danced every morning to distract her from taking her medicines, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse already (oh, hotdog!), bedtime stories with Daddy, & getting to know all her family. She was always smiling, giving us the pop-eye, learning to find her voice & constantly discovering new things about herself & the world around her. She was the true definition of strength, perseverance, & touched many lives in the short time she was borrowed by Jesus to her Mommy & Daddy.
Left behind to continue to carry on her sweet legacy are her parents, Gabriel & Caitlyn Jones; Grandparents, Danny & Gina Hodges of Alvord, Kenny & Delores Jones of Chico; Great-Grandparents, Mary Ann Hodges of Alvord, Troy & Marie Rosson of Decatur, & Betty Jones of Bowie; Step Great-Grandmother, Donna Hodges of White Settlement, Great-Great Grandparents, Helen Spanglo of Decatur & Hattie Sydor of Amarillo, Aunts & Uncles, Jordan & Bailey Hodges of Alvord, with cousins Brantley & Rylen, Ethan & Callie Jones of Alvord, & Bre Jones of Chico, along with many, many other family members, a host of friends & loved ones.
She was greeted at the pearly gates by her Great Grandfather, Royce Hodges of Alvord & other Great-Grandparents and family members.
The family wishes to extend our sincere gratefulness to each & every one of the medical staff that was involved in the care of Adalynn for her 45 days, who all touched our lives & we will forever be indebted to the staff of Cook Children's Medical Center Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, all her doctors there, along with Dr. Amanda Lovette Pediatrics, & Wise Co EMS. We cannot thank you enough for all each of you did for our precious baby girl.
Tomorrow is never promised. The dishes, laundry & other chores can wait, be present, hug & love on your children & loved ones while they are with you & forever be thankful.
